On the 17th of February 2015, I, my Parents, Dinesh uncle, Pankaj uncle and Mukul uncle, the Voice of Little Hearts Team went to meet The Former President of India, Dr. A.P.J.Abdul Kalam to present my painting to Him and also tell him about Propel Steps’ book ‘Blank Space’ and the upcoming project ‘Voice of Little Hearts, which will be a book that will tell about the lives of various children in India, their ambitions, their worries, their problems and their Happiness.
When we went to Dr. Kalam’s official residence at Rajaji Marg, New Delhi, there were many people waiting to meet Dr. Kalam. At last when our turn came, we went inside his room. We greeted him and gifted him a flower bouquet. First, we introduced ourselves to him and then gave a copy of Blank Space, a book written by 100 authors with 100 inspirational stories, published by Propel steps.
Then we presented him a copy of my painting which was framed and we requested him for a signature on the original painting and he signed on the canvas board on which the painting was mounted.
Dinesh uncle explained what Voice of Little Hearts is and told him that the painting will be the cover page of the book. He told the painting is nice and wished us all the best. After a photo session, we left the room, happily.
It is the most memorable moment in my life. Thanks to Voice of Little Hearts and Dinesh Uncle and also my dear parents.
