Won Gold Medal in Tiger, The National Animal 5th All India Art Contest by Artinfoindia. This is a competition I sent entry to every year since its first edition and this is the first time I am winning the Gold Medal. First two years, the theme was Butterfly – 1st edition I did not win an award, second edition I won Meritorious Award. 3rd year topic was Peacock – The National Bird and I again won Meritorious Award. Last year, the 4th edition topic was Lotus – The National Flower. I could do better last time and won a commended award (certificate and medal) and my painting was exhibited at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.
This edition theme was Tiger – The National animal and I wanted to try something different. Used Colour pencils and only black gel pen for the background. And I feel it came out well than I expected. Thank You Artinfoindia.com for selecting me as a First Prize Winner (Gold Medal). Very happy that my painting will be exhibited in the lobbies of India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi from October 3 to October 29, 2016.
