And that’s a wrap for my 2022 Navaratri series! It’s been quite a loooooong journey🥲 I never expected it to take this long. Exams, dance programs, rehearsals, outstation trips and what not. Every year I try to improve through this annual series, and this time, instead of improving, SHE taught me a lesson. I thought I could achieve the obvious impossible: finishing one painting in one day. But no, lol, I was soooo wrong. You can’t achieve your goals with just confidence and hurrying. You need to sit and make time for it specially. You need to take it slow and steady.

Also, I finally came to understand the value of sleep from this series (from painting Nidra Devi, ironically). It’s impossible to paint when you haven’t slept properly for more than 3-4 nights. I painted through the nights in constant fear of ruining all the work by falling asleep. And that obviously doesn’t work at all.

Hopefully I can prepare much earlier before starting a new painting series again. 🥲 One more series is still pending though, “Nava Narasimhas of Ahobilam”, need to work on the rest of them too!
