Completed: NAVA KSHETRA NIVASINIS Painting Series for Navaratri 2023!♥️
.
⚠️Rant ahead:
Though I had started the basic sketches for this series back in May 2023 (the earliest I’d ever planned for any series), SHE put in arangetram prep, the whole hungama of the arangetram itself, exams, college trip and assignments into my life and made sure that I didn’t touch these paintings until the 2nd week of October. AND Navaratri was from the 3rd week. 😐
Never had such a rough week😂 painted the whole night, had to go to college (where I got back my sleep hours🫣), then dance class and when I finally started my painting work it was always 10 pm.
But I’m actually surprised that I was able to make through quite successfully, because I complicated this series to the maximum: a filled background, a prabhavali for each Devi and also had to retain features of the original Murthy because I was recreating it in my style.

It’s a wonder how the body co-operates smoothly when the mind is determined to get a work done. I felt only mildly exhausted even after two sleepless nights.

Anyways, another series is done, and this is my 4th Navaratri series! I’m already planning for next year’s 🫢
