✨Intro: Navaratri 2022✨

It’s that time of year again: Navaratri. My favourite 9 days of the year😄 One of the most important festivals in India, where the Mother Goddess is worshipped in various forms and names, Navaratri celebrates the victory of good over evil. For Navaratri 2022, I will be painting 9 Goddesses from Shāktism as ‘NAVA SHAKTIS’.

According to Shāktism, Devi is the power (Shakti) representing the feminine principle. Devi Ādi Parāshakti is regarded as the Ultimate Supreme Goddess and the manifestation of the Supreme Self (Para Brahma Swaroopi). She is formless, that is, Nirguna/Nirākāra in reality, but also takes many forms. Ādi Parāshakti Devi is believed to have manifested in various peaceful and fierce forms. It is from these manifestations that I have selected 9 Goddesses for painting during this Navaratri with each goddess representing a unique quality or Guna.

Nava Shaktis Painting Series from tomorrow! Stay tuned♥️
