On Sunday 13th July, 2014, I went with my parents for the Dance Drama “Viralimalai Kuravanji” presented by Nrithyodaya, Chennai & Shriram Group at Narada Gana Sabha Hall, TTK Road, Chennai.
The drama had Dr. Padma Subrahmanyam in the title role along with dancers Priyadarshini Govind, Shobhana and Vineeth and Nrithyodaya Artists. The event was presented as an aid to Bharata Ilango Foundation for Asian Culture.
I loved the dance of Shobana, what a dancer!!!. She excelled as always. This is the second programme of Kum. Shobana I am attending. The first one was at Bharat Kalachar during December Season. There it was the ‘Dasavatharam’ by Miss. Shobana and her dance school Kalarpana’s dancers.
I am watching Vineeth’s dance live for the first time, though have seen him dance in Award Night programmes on TV. Dr. Padma Subrahmanyam was in the role of Kuravanji.
