SRINGERI SHARADAMBA✨
Navaratri 2023- Nava Kshetra Nivasinis Painting Series-1♥️

Happy Navaratri! 🙏🏻✨
‘Nava Kshetra Nivasinis’ Painting Series:
For this Navaratri 2023, I’ll be painting 9 different Goddesses from 9 of my favourite temples dedicated to Her across India.

Day 1: Sharadamba of Sringeri🙏🏻♥️
Sringeri Sharadamba is the Goddess of Sri Sringeri Sharada Peetam in Chikmagalur in Karnataka, one of the four peetams of Jagadguru Adi Shankaracharya.

Goddess Sharadambika is the incarnation of Goddess Saraswati. The original idol of Sharadamba was made of sandalwood in a standing posture installed over a Sri Chakra that Sri Adi Sankara carved on a rock, but it was later replaced with a seated golden statue. She is seen holding a japamala and a parrot perched atop her hand.

This Peetam fosters the Vedas and the sacred tradition of Sanatana Dharma and came to be known as Dakshinamnaya Sri Sharada Peetham. Sringeri is known as a great place of traditional learning owing to the divine presence of Goddess Sharada and the knowledge of the Acharyas of the Peetham.
